how to download Monterey
Monterey will not download and every time I try it uses space. how do I clean that mess

In the Applications folder there will be the installer files that were partially downloaded but not completed. Delete them and boot into Safe Mode according to How to use safe mode on your Mac. Once in the Safe Mode try downloading again.
Note: if you have a wireless keyboard with rechargeable batteries connect it with its charging cable before booting into Safe Mode. This makes it act as a wired keyboard as will assure a good boot into Safe Mode.
