I’m trying to make arc on my lg oled c7 work. Plugged the Apple TV in hdmi 2 arc. Then activated my 2 originals HomePod as default speakers on the Apple TV 4K, then plugged in other devices in all the other hdmi ports in the tv: unable to communicate with tv , we will continue trying…
i then tried to unplug redo the procedure, but still no luck. At least the HomePod works with the Apple TV 4K (2nd gen) when I use them!
Verify that:
It may be that the C7 lacks proper eARC support, so Atmos content may not play from devices other than the ATV4K itself to the HomePods but regular surround should.

I did everything you said already (thus the reason I’m asking here, to see if there’s something wrong with the feature).
The C7 is arc compatible, cec compatible and ultra HD deep color is activated.
Looks like a bug because when I unplugged everything deactivate arc in audio output from the Apple TV, it start working with only the hdmi of the Apple TV. Then I plug my tv terminal and my 4K Blu-ray player and it all seem to work well until I close the tv! Then it’s back to square one.
