Hey, I have a 2011 imac the i3 3.1ghz model... I believe it was made for education purpose.
I was wondering if it supports target display mode? I ask because even tho its 2011 it has a mini display port and not a thunderbolt port.

To answer your question, since it has no Thunderbolt support, it can't be used as a display for another Mac.

Correct. It was the only Late 2011 iMac. What Mac do you want to connect to it?
I see the mini display port works for the 2009 imacs that's why I was wondering if it could work for this 2011 model.
