How can I change my recovery email and phone number

Hi,

If you do not use two-factor authentication with your Apple ID, and you are referring to your rescue email, you will first need to regain access to your Apple ID using iforgot.apple.com. You should be able to answer security questions in order to change your password, and once you have regained access to your Apple ID, you can update your rescue email. I would also recommend upgrading to two-factor authentication.

However, if you already have two-factor authentication, and you have tried to set up account recovery on your Apple ID, are unable to verify the code sent to your Apple ID email, and you no longer have the same trusted phone number, the following article should be able to further assist:

You need to change/add the number on your Apple ID. Look in the Security section when signed in online. You may have to add the new number before you can remove the old number. After the change, allow up to 24 hours for the change to sync. Before trying to make the change, sign out of Messages/FaceTime on all devices/computers.
