Hello khristin72,

Thank you for posting in the Apple Support Communities and for reviewing the related article, What does iCloud back up. We're here to assist.

As it turns out, there isn't a way to remove individual data from within apps using iCloud. However, if you tap on Settings > [your name] > iCloud > Manage Storage, check to see if Facebook is listed as an app backing up to iCloud. If so, you might be able to tap on it, then tap Delete Data. Keep in mind that this would delete all app data for that app, and not just specific conversations.

You might also try deleting your current iCloud Backup, removing the app from your iOS device, then creating a new iCloud Backup. Again, this means that Facebook wouldn't be included in the backup, and not just the conversations associated with the app. Also, if you have iCloud Backup green/enabled in Settings > [your name] > iCloud Backup, then iCloud might automatically back up the app's data if you were to redownload it at a later time.
