I was trying to install OS X 10.6.3 on my MacBook Pro (Mid- 2010) and I copied the files to a USB stick and it booted just fine. Then after I select my language it says "macOS can not be installed on your computer". But the MacBook shipped with OS X 10.6.3 aka Snow Leopard. Also, the MacBook is fully supported and has the necessary hardware to run Snow Leopard.

I have one of these macs and installed 10.6.3 just fine. I think some files may be missing from the Mac OS X installer stored in the USB. Try from an original grey disc for your Mac or you can easily find a 10.6.3 retail package (original) on eBay.

You brought up a great point but the thing is that I did not want to buy a disk and I downloaded the files from the internet.
