magic keyboard apostrophe not functioning properly

I have a magic keyboard (US English layout) which is works perfectly with my Macbook PRO 2015 MacOS Catalina.

However when I connect it via bluetooth to my Macbook PRO M1 with macOS Monterey version 12.2.1 (21D62), I'm having issues with apostrophe ('), sometimes I need to press it multiple times before it shows up. I've tested the built-in keyboard of Macbook PRO M1 and no issues. So it looks like an issue with magic keyboard and OS Monterey?

I setup keyboard input source to U.S English but no luck.

I've tried using this Keyboard Setup Assistant to detect my keyboard layout but its unable to identify the keyboard.

Hey there Daskul,

Thanks for reaching out to the Apple Support Communities. We understand you're having issues with the Apostrophe key not working as expected when connected to your MacBook Pro M1, and we'd be happy to help.

To get started, does restarting your MacBook seem to help with the issue, even if it's just temporary? If not, and because the issue doesn't occur when paired with another device, check out next resource to help rule out any possible wireless interference that may be causing issues: Resolve Wi-Fi and Bluetooth issues caused by wireless interference - Apple Support

If still having issues after looking over the resource above, try testing the issue in safe mode that can help determine whether an issue is caused by software that loads as your Mac starts up: How to use safe mode on your Mac - Apple Support

Keep us updated on the results.

Take care!
