If it doesn't work connected directly to the iMac via a USB cable, then remove the SD card from the camera and put it into the iMac SD card slot or use a USB card reader.

iMacs have been in production for well over 20 years. Please read Writing an effective Apple Support Communities Question and then re-write your question and advise what you want to do once the camera is connected. However to make life easier I'd just take out the storage card it uses, put it into a card reader and upload the data to the Mac. Once you have it on the Mac tell us what you intend to do with it.
