Apple TV

Our Apple TV has been glitching for the past couple days and I can’t figure out why.

It looks like the control box but on the opposite side and highlighted boxes all around the TV. It goes around and flashes throughout the screen like that

When I first turn on my Apple TV it flashes off and on, about every 10 seconds? I've reset the box several times, purchased another cable. The Samsung TV works fine independently, I can hit the same apps and not experience the flashing from the Apple box. The box is less than a year old and has current updates. I suspect it was the last update that caused the problem?

Apple TV Acting Strange This is a weird one.. every time I press the Menu button or the Apple TV button while watching a show, the screen goes black with green lines. Even when pressing the menu button it doesn't leave the show I'm currently watching. It sometimes takes several clicks to just get out of the show. I have an LG TV. I've tried unplugging the Apple TV and restarting it and it still happens.

Unplug the Apple TV from it's power source for 2-3 minutes, then re-plug in and test.
