My daughter gave me her old Apple Watch and then left on a cruise she gave me what she thought was her password for Apple ID or at least three possibilities I don’t seem to be able to get any of them want to work she did disavow the phone as best she could and I’ve gotten to the point where they want the Apple ID and password every time is there anyway around that with any basic information I would of course have on my own daughter

She needed to unpair it from her phone first. “Three guesses at the Apple ID” doesn’t sound very secure.

Your daughter can ask apple to remove the activation lock online on this page;

Remove the Activation Lock Here.

Or this;

If she can't remember/gain access to the apple id that paired the watch to the phone.Take the watch and it's receipt with the serial number along with some photo id and any other proof of ownership to an Apple Store and request that they remove the Activation Lock for you.
