Latvian keyboard

The active keyboard is chosen in the Input Menu at the top right of your screen. Do you see the Latvian flag there? If it is something else, click on it to change.

If you do not need an English keyboard, be sure to remove US from system preferences > keyboard > input sources.

PS In case you are not familiar with how the Apple Latvian layout works, to get the special Latvian characters you first press the apostrophe key ' and then one of the other keys.
