Why my iPad doesn’t work with other USB-C charger

I have lost the charger that includes with my iPad, so I bought another one Same kind ( but not from apple). I try on my iPad and it doesn’t work but the charger still work with other things. I also use my friends charger to try it out and it still works fine. Is there something wrong with my iPad or it just iPad only works with apple chargers only?

iPad Pro won't charge with new charger I have a user that just bought a brand new charger for her iPad Pro and it will not charge with it. I have an older iPad charging block with a generic USB-C cable and it will charge it. I can't figure out why it won't charge with a brand new iPad Pro charging block and Apple USB-C cable will not charge it. Any ideas?

iPad Pro 10.5inch (2018) charging problems I’ve searched all over for this but can’t find an answer. My iPad no longer will charge with ANY official apple cables or charging blocks. Tried with the one that came with it, my other iPad Pro (2020) charger and even my MacBook’s charger, nothing. However the 2020 iPad Pro works fine with any charger we put it on… If I use an off brand usb to usb-c charger it works, but outside of that it doesn’t even register if it’s plugged in when I’d connect it to my MacBook with its own cable. Anyone heard of this before?

Apple 20w USB-C charger I have two new Apple 20w USB-C chargers that have quit working! I can charge my iPhone 13 and my 9th gen iPad on the a different brand 20w but not Apple’s. Is something wrong with the Apple chargers?

Your iPad may well not charge when not using an Apple certified charger.
