I did what the article suggests to do and it didn’t change anything.
to restore an efficient WiFi operation, I had to delete the VPN!!!
i did not understand what happened, since the VPN had been active together with the WiFi for months without any problem.

If you reseted networks settings, restarted your iPhone, and it still doesn’t work, check if other devices near you are able to connect to wifi networks.
If they are, I advise you to contact Apple Support: Apple Support
You could also reset your iPhone to factory settings, but I suggest you to contact Apple Support first and see if you may avoid this last solution.
