Safari - Command+1 shortcut not working

Recently discovered that you can use Command+(number) to switch between tabs easily in Safari. Although Command+2 through to 9 work, Command+1 doesn't.. Any ideas?

I've checked that Command+1 hasn't been used as a shortcut anywhere else in system preferences, and it hasn't.

I have cleared all cache and history in Safari, as well as closing application & restarting my Mac.

Any help is much appreciated.

Hello TomoJSnapey,

It sounds like you're needing help with Safari shortcuts. We'll be glad to help.

The Command+1 should bring you back to the first tab if you have multiple tabs open and are on a different tab. Here's an additional resource for other shortcuts in Safari: Keyboard shortcuts and gestures in Safari on Mac

If that doesn't work, we'd recommend force closing the Safari app and restarting your Mac as shown in the steps below.

Shut down or restart your Mac

Take care!
