New iPhone 13 now my Apple Watch is not responding.

I just traded in my iPhone 7 Plus for a new iPhone 13. While in the Apple store my Apple Watch began to link to the new phone. The salesman said it would complete on my way home. But it has been a couple hours and my watch is STILL not functional. The face of the watch is overall black with the white Apple symbol in the middle, with dots from the 12:00 position to the 12:05 position. It is like it is trying to load, but it has been stuck like this for several hours. I am home now without my old phone and on my home wifi. What do I need to do to get my watch WORKING again?
