Collaborating in Numbers

Hello, I am trying to share a numbers spreadsheet with a co-worker? She is also an apple user. I want her to be able to edit it too. Every time I select "collaborate" it tells me to go to system preferences & to adjust in icloud. I have done this multiple times & still am not able to make it work. Any suggestions on how I'm able to use this function?
