mojave installer
I need to do a clean install of Mojave on a 2014 Macbookair. I cannot find the installer anywhere- only the update. Can you help?

Looks like you added an edit. Wait for the download to finish, then Quit the installer. It should be in your Applications folder and you can copy it from there.
Thanks - this takes me to an apparently helpful page with an App store link, but at the App store page only seemed to lead to an update. After waiting, yes, I get offered what may be an installer, but I do not seem to be able to put that on an external HDD. Is there a way to do that?

Why do you say that? Do you see a Get or Download button?
