Calendars not syncing

I use Apple's Calendar App on my laptop. I also use Google Calendar for some things (my first phone was an android). All my calendars are fine on my laptop, and up to a week ago, they synced on my phone too. But something happened and one particular calendar on iCloud has not updated properly. To give an example, I had 2 events on this calendar on a Thursday this week but changed them to a Friday. I couldn't get them to update on my phone. Eventually one of them shifted to the Friday and the other stayed on Thursday. In the end I deleted the one that didn't update and re-entered it on my phone. Next week, I've shifted another 2 events from Thursday to Friday on my laptop but both have remained on Thursday on my phone. I tried deleting the ones on the phone. This time, one of the events that I had successfully shifted to Friday on my laptop has been deleted, so one remains on Friday and neither is on my phone. The only thing that has changed is that I recently started using a desktop Mac that I haven't used in a long time and I upgraded it to Monterey. It also has the same changes as my phone. Any ideas please?

Hi there Melsamel,

Here are some things to check first, from If your iCloud Contacts, Calendars, or Reminders won’t sync:

  1. Check the system status of iCloud Contacts, Calendars, and Reminders.
  2. If a reminder isn't showing up on some devices, make sure that you're running the latest iOS, iPadOS, or macOS on each device. Upgraded reminders and shared reminders in iOS 13 or later or macOS Catalina or later aren't compatible with earlier versions of iOS or macOS. Learn more.
  3. Make sure that the date and time settings on your iPhone, iPad, iPod touch, Mac, or PC are correct.
  4. Make sure that you're signed in to iCloud with the same Apple ID on all of your devices. Then, check that you turned on Contacts, Calendars, and Reminders* in your iCloud settings.
  5. Check your Internet connection. Open Safari and go to www.apple.com. If you can’t open the page, learn what to do.
  6. Check that you can access secure websites. Open Safari and go to your Apple ID account page. If the website won't open, contact your Internet service provider for help.
  7. Make sure that you haven't exceeded your iCloud storage limit or the storage limits for iCloud Contacts, Calendars, and Reminders

After each step be sure to refresh your calendar by opening the Calendar app, tapping the Calendar tab, then swiping down on the list.
