The iPhone cameras contain a Sapphire crystal lens cover, as seen on the technical specs page for the model here: X - Technical Specifications
It is still possible however for the lens to be damaged. If you find that you've damaged the lens, and would like to seek service, this page can help with that: iPhone Repair and Service
