I have a 21.5 inch, Late 2012 iMac running OS X 10.8.5 (12F45)

I cannot up grade iTunes. The message I receive is: An error occurred while downloading the updates.

How can I resolve this issue?

An error occurred while downloading the updates. (102) I have a pretty old laptop and just did a full erase and a clean install. It's a MacBook Pro Retina 13-inch Late 2012 Processor 2.5ghz intel core i5 memory 8gb 1600 mhz ddr3 os X version 10.8.5 I want to update it to a newer OS, as I wanted to install some apps that I had running pre-erase. When I look for updates, it only lists 'itunes'; it listed more, but i was able to install those. It's listing that it wants to update to iTunes 12.4.3, but then fails with the 102 error when i try to run it. I don't particularly need to be on the latest OS, I really want to get it to 10.10 though, as that's what the app i need requires.

iTunes install error on Macbook air (Monterey 12.2.1) I am getting error "This package is incompatible with this version of macOS. The package is trying to install content to the system volume. Contact the software manufacturer for assistance". How do I resolve this issue and get iTunes installed on my macbook air?

Try booting into Safe Mode with the Shift key held down.
