Using too much data per month
How do I use less data on Apple TV? I only have 50 GB per month.
Get real hardwired broadband connectivity (cable/fiber/copper), of the ‘unlimited’ variety. Apple TV at 4K HDR will run at up to 15–25 Mbps, or 50 GB in ~5.5 hours, or 11m/d. Apple TV at 1080p will run at ~8 Mbps, or 50 GB in ~13.8 hours, or 27m/d. Apple TV at 720p will run at ~6 Mbps, or 50 GB in ~18.5 hours, or 37m/d. Apple TV at 480p will run at ~2.5 Mbps, or 50 GB in ~44.4 hours, or 89m/d. 50 GB/m is just not enough for streaming HDTV regularly.
