Mac book battery

why do I have a battery service message, I saw this after the last update

Sounds like you battery needs service—which is a replacement recommendation.

If it still preforms well enough for your usage, ignore it until does not meet your requirements.


Battery notifications have been dumb down, it used to included:

"Replace Soon"

"Replace Now"

"Service Battery"


no more, it simply reads Normal or Service Recommended.
