Now that I've hit shift-command-3#, how do I copy it to an email?
I need to copy a screen shot to an email. Now that I've hit shift-command-3#, how do I copy it to an email? The command-V doesn't do it.

Easiest way for me is to use Shift+CMD+Control+4, (choose part f screen or Shift+CMD+Control+3, (full screen), to copy it to the copy buffer, the in Mail just use CMD+v to paste it in.

By default, Command-Shift-3 saves the screenshot to your Desktop folder, not to the clipboard.
To add it to an email, drag it from the Finder to an email message.
AHA! So it's Shift+Command+Control+3. !! Took two hands, but it worked, and Command+V pasted it to the email. THANK YOU!
The easiest way in mail is to click on the little paper clip in the email your sending. Which opens a box where you can go to the screen shot an add it to your email as an attachment. When I do that I put my screen shots on the desktop.
As I said, the command+v didn't work.
Yes! :)
