I have mobile security through AT&T where I bought my iPhone 12

I just received a message my phone number has been leaked from the AT& T mobile security app. I’m not sure if it is legitimate or not but even so all it says to secure the number is to check credit scores etc. Which I do regularly. I am wondering if I should just delete the app as though it is a paid subscription not sure how the phone number of my IPhone would be compromised as I don’t answer or click on anything I don’t recognize.
