OneDrive is Microsoft's attempt at a cloud service.
You can read the information at the OneDrive website.
You can install OneDrive via the Mac App Store, which will prompt you for the (occasional) update.

I see. I've never been prompted by a list of available updates from the App Store either. It's the only reason I occasionally install apps from the App Store instead of from a developer's site. I'm never too old to learn I guess. 😎
OneDrive is Microsoft's personal cloud storage system. If you have it installed it should update itself when needed.

Interesting. I'm never prompted for app updates installed through the App Store.
