messenger on iPhone not allowing
Messenger is NOT allowing me to put my name and photo at the top but rather it is showing the initials of another friend

If you're referring to the photo and initials for yourself within the native Messages app on your iPhone, you can change your contact information by tapping "My Card" at the top of your Contacts app:
