I recently bought a gen 3 AirPods. I am trying to redeem my 6 months of free Apple Music, but i keep getting this message. If I click transfer, what will happen? Does this mean my AirPods are connected to someone else’s Apple ID?

Based on the screen shot, it appears the your AirPods are connected to another Apple ID. If you click transfer, you should be able to connect the AirPods to your Apple ID, which will allow you to redeem your 6 months of free Apple Music.

If I transfer the AirPods to my Apple ID, will other iPhones be able to use the AirPods? As I’m sharing the AirPods with my sister.
If the other phones are using a different Apple ID, the AirPods will have to be transferred to the other ID.
