Hello miko80,

We're happy to help. The way you install and uninstall certificates depends on which device you want to install them on and which type of certificate you are trying to install. We can see you're using an iPhone 12 based on your profile here. If you're referring to preinstalled certificates that are built into the iPhone operating system, you would simply update your iOS to ensure you have the latest version of certificates: Update your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch.

If you're referring to certificates outside of the preinstalled ones in iOS, the articles below will provide more details on using certificates and how to install them:

Intro to certificate management for Apple devices: We believe the last section in this article might help address your question, so we've quoted it below:

Root certificates on iOS and iPadOS
Root certificates installed manually on unsupervised iOS and iPadOS devices through a profile display the following warning, “Installing the certificate “name of certificate” adds it to the list of trusted certificates on your iPhone or iPad. This certificate won’t be trusted for websites until you enable it in Certificate Trust Settings.”

The user can then trust the certificate on the device by going to Settings > General > About > Certificate Trust Settings.

Note: Root certificates installed by an MDM solution or on supervised devices disable the option to change the trust settings.

If we've misunderstood your question, please feel free to reply back to this post with more details. Let us know what action you're performing on your iPhone in relation to your question about certificates, and if you're seeing a specific alert or error, share that with us too.

Best regards.
