iCloud backup failed - not enough storage

hello

I recently upgraded to iPhone 13.

I have noticed that since I installed the new iOS I keep having a notification that my iCloud is full and backup failed.

I have the latest iOS 15.3.1

I also have iCloud+ (50GB)

the backup size is ~20gb, so I have 30gb free on iCloud

I have tried exit iCloud and sign in again. also deleted old backup and try to make a new one.

I can't seem to understand what am I doing wrong.

also did not have This issue in previous phone,

but on my wives phone (iPhone 12 Pro, latest iOs, no iCloud+) same issue, when she her backup size is about 3gb, and ~2 free space

is it possible that is a iOS bug?

To help resolve the issue with your iCloud backup, let's follow the steps from the article If you can't back up to iCloud. Start by trying the steps below and proceed with the remaining steps in the article if needed:

Check your iCloud storage and Next Backup Size in iOS or iPadOS1. Go to Settings > [your name].2. Tap iCloud. The amount of iCloud storage that you've used is listed at the top. Learn more. 3. Tap Manage Storage.4. Tap Backups, then tap the device you're using. Next Backup Size is listed under Last Backup and Backup Size. It may take a few minutes for your device to calculate Next Backup Size.

If your available iCloud storage is low1. Make more space available in iCloud by reducing the size of your backup or deleting information that you don't need. 2. Upgrade your iCloud+ plan. If you still need help, contact Apple Support.
