Hi,

The first activation date and the product date of purchase should be the same, assuming you activated the iPhone the same day you purchased it. This applies only for new products.

To confirm this, and if the product is covered by Apple’s Limited Warranty, go to Settings > General > About > Coverage.

See Find information about your warranty or AppleCare plan for more information.

  • If you see ‘Limited Warranty’ you should then also see the date the LW timeframe ends, as it is a year, and begins on the original date of purchase of the iPhone. The DOP/activation date would be the date your LW coverage began. See Legal - Hardware Warranties for additional information.

  • If you purchased your iPhone through a third party reseller, and the condition was not ‘new’, it is considered a refurbished product, and the DOP would reflect when the product was originally activated for the first time. Not when you activated it after purchasing it.

  • If you purchased your iPhone refurbished through Apple, all Apple Certified Refurbished products include the one year Limited Warranty. See Why Refurbished for more information.

You can also view coverage information for your iPhone online at Check Your Service and Support Coverage.

If you still need help, contact Apple Support with your serial number.

There's absolutely no way we fellow users can confirm that. We don't work for Apple. On top of that, we know nothing about your phone to even attempt to answer your question, such as the serial number ( DO NOT POST THAT NUMBER HERE! ).

Does it work? Yes? Then be happy you didn't purchase a stolen phone with Activation Lock on it.

Edit: You just added the issue about the microphone.

Go to Apple's service and support page:

Check Your Service and Support Coverage - Apple Support

Enter the phone's serial number there. Though even that won't tell you much, other than whether the phone has a matching valid purchase date (which it doesn't show you), and if there is any phone support or repair coverage remaining.
