Push Notification Badge on Skype is Stuck

Greetings folks. I frequently use Skype on my phone, and recently it crashed in the middle of a chat I was in. After I managed to get the app restarted, the push notification badge has remained on the icon and won't go away. I've gone into the app and allowed the chats to sync up, and I've reinstalled the app twice. Not sure what else to try, any suggestions?

I have exactly the same problem. The badge cannot be removed no matter what has been done.

Same problem here. I can tell you this... Don't waste your time contacting Skype support. They know nothing. I had trouble getting them to understand what a badge was. That is bad.

I got the badge to go away. Follow these steps.

1. Erase all chats
2. Erase call history
3. In "My Info", Sign out of Skype by touching the "Sign Out" button at the top right hand sign of the screen and log out. The badge should be gone.

Signing out and then back in worked for me. Didn't have to delete anything, just re-log in. I'm using an iPod Touch 3rd Gen I believe

Found the solution without deleting or logging out.

Tap Recent to bring up your conversation history.
Tap the Edit button at the top of the screen.
Tap the check icon at the top right of the screen and select Mark All As Read.

You can also tap Yes, don’t ask again so that next time you only need to tap the Edit button and the check icon to mark all your received conversations as “read”.

At first you may not see any changes, but when you leave the Recent tab, things will update.
