If you and the family member followed all the steps in:

Get an Apple Music family subscription - Apple Support

Set up Family Sharing - Apple Support

and the family member was able to accept your invitation, then your family member might be able to fix his issue by turning Sync Library off for all of his devices, then turning it back on again.  Learn how.
