Connecting to iMac

I'm still using Catalina. Does this mean I can no longer connect to my iPhone as of 2022?

Welcome to the Apple Support Communities.

If you follow these steps, If you see "Software update is required to connect to your iOS device" on your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch - Apple Support, you should be able to connect to your iPhone.

However, what year is your Mac? You may be able to upgrade macOS.
