import photos to windows 10

Hi I tried importing photos to windows 10 i connected my iphone 12 and opened the storage of my iPhone went to the directory of photos under DCIM and moved the photos and videos to the computer. after it finished I tried watching the jpg files but almost all of them say they are corrupt!!! I guess this is because my photos are "live"? also some jpg files are really huge? 345 megabytes. how can I turn them to regular jpg? The files are not on my phone anymore as I have moved them "ctrl x" how can I move them back? How can I fix this to get my jpg's back?

Thanks.
