Final Cut Pro Viewer Turned Black and Doesn't Display Clips

I've tried everything from deleting rendered files and deleting preferences -- viewer still shows black.


I'm operating in a Mac book pro Monterey


please help.

thank you for the fast reply - I deleted the preferences again and restarted the computer (which was the only thing I had not done0 -- working perfect now :). Thanks again for the fast reply. I really appreciate it.
