Question regarding MacBook Air + iPhone

Hello:

I just had a quick question. If my MacBook Air is already connected to my Apple ID (the same one as my iPhone is connected to), will I receive notification to my phone when my MacBook Air logs in to my Apple ID? I already have it as an authorized device.

thank you!

iPhone 12, iOS 15

If you enabled Two-factor authentication for Apple ID, then Apple will send an authorization request to all your authorized devices (your iPhone, for example). That only happens once (but read below), after which you will no longer be notified or asked for authorization.

  • The request for authorization will occur again under certain circumstances.

Otherwise, no, you won't be notified.
