My Lock Screen wallpaper is darker than on the picture

I’m trying to have my Lock Screen and Home Screen have the same main color on their wallpaper, which is what I’ve done, however when in use the Lock Screen one gets slightly dimmed, while the Home Screen one doesn’t. The option under “wallpapers” in settings are off, and it happens whether I’m in dark or light mode. Is there anything I can do? Or if it’s a thing apple has added that we can’t change, is there a way to know which color # I have to change the picture to for it to end up being the same as my Home Screen when put as my Lock Screen? (Sorry if that’s confusing)

Hi ChrisElune,

Welcome to Apple Support Communities! So we understand correctly, is the Lock screen dimmed all the time, or does it display the color at the normal brightness for a while? The reason we ask is that it's normal for the Lock screen to dim right before the display automatically turns off. This option is found in Settings > Display & Brightness > Auto-Lock. To test, you might try temporarily setting the Auto-Lock option to "Never" and see if the Lock screen brightness stays the same as the Home screen. Let us know what you find!

Have a great day.
