Onscreen keyboard keeps popping up

I have been using my iPad Air for quite a while with a smart connector keyboard from Logitech with no issues. However, lately, the onscreen keyboard keeps popping up so that I cannot see my screen to complete what I am typing with my external keyboard. When I disable my onscreen keyboard, it pops right back up. Logitech says Apple has a fix but I have not received it. How do I get the fix to stop the onscreen keyboard from popping up when I am using the smart connector keyboard?

Hello Donfrommagnolia,


Let's remove the Smart Keyboard from your iPad. Restart your iPad and reconnect the keyboard. If the issue continues, let's be sure both devices are free from any debris that can be obstruction the connection:
