HomePod mini won’t reset

After a power outage one of my HomePod minis disappeared from the Home app on my iPhone. I thought to reset it and re-add it, but the 10 second method does not reset it. To add to the confusion, it appeared briefly in Home as not responding, although it is responding to Siri commands and playing Apple Music at random.

Just leave it unplugged for a couple minutes.


Then if it is still not working correctly, work through those steps provided. Here they are again: If HomePod isn't responding

Thanks for using Apple Support Communities! 


We'd suggest unplugging your HomePod for a few minutes, and then restarting your iPhone, and any other devices associated with the Home app.

Test again.


If you're still having issues, then follow the steps in this article:

If HomePod isn't responding

Follow all the steps in order, including resetting your HomePod again.
