I am in a group chat with others. I muted the conversation so I would not get buzzed everytime someone responded. Now I cannot get back to where I can send messages in that group. How can I get that back on that group chat?

When you mute a group chat in Messages, it should not remove your ability to send and receive responses in that chat. It should just mute the notification sounds of that particular group chat.

Leave a group text message on your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch:

"How to mute a group text message

1. Tap the group text message.
2. Tap the group icons at the top of the thread. If you're on iOS 14 or earlier, tap the group icons at the top, then tap the Info button .
3. Scroll down, then turn on Hide Alerts.

Or, from your list of messages conversations, you can swipe left over the group text message and tap the Alerts button . With iOS 15, When Hide Alerts is on, the Hide Alerts icon  appears next to the conversation on the right side. With iOS 14 or ealier, a crescent moon icon  will appear next to the conversation.

Hide Alerts stops notifications for a specific group text message, but not for all the messages on your device. You'll still receive all other messages and notifications. Learn more about managing your notifications."

• Try to unmute the group chat and Restart your iPhone please.

If the issue remains, reply back to this post and let us know what the group chat looks like in your conversation list in Messages, and also what happens when you try sending a message in the group chat? Do you no longer see the text field when you open the group chat? Or, something else?
