No trusted device or recovery code

i got a new number after I lost my iPhone a couple months ago which was also my only trusted device. I thought I had the recovery key but I haven’t found it still. I have a lot of important info, photos and files on my iCloud I’d like to retrieve but no luck so far. Is there even a way to sign into my account considering I lost the recovery key?

Use a web browser and open iforgot.apple.com

Enter only Apple ID address in the field and click on continue.

Enter the old trusted number in the field and click on continue .

Click on don’t have access to this Mac .

Click on can’t get access to another iOS device ?

Click on continue anyway .

Click on don’t have access to any of these numbers .

Enter the new trusted number in the empty fields and select the desired options using text message or phone call click on continue .

A verification code will appear enter it , the new number is added and apple support will contact you to reset the password .

Hi megnolivia.

Let's follow these steps to regain access to your apple ID:

"If you still can't sign in

If you can’t sign in, reset your password, or receive verification codes, you can request account recovery to regain access to your account. Account recovery might take a few days or longer, depending on the specific account information you can provide to verify your identity."

Get a verification code and sign in with two-factor authentication

Cheers.

HOW CAN THIS BE TRUE - IF RECOVERY KEY IS LOST!

JUST DEALT WITH THIS. TREATED LIKE A CRIMINAL..

I can’t reset my APPLE ID I've had .. forever because I don’t have the recovery key.

let’s go over my chat I had with apple support - point is,

How DARE APPLE TELL YOU TO DO THE ABOVE WHEN NO RECOVERY KEY is to be had. People save that to their notepad or mixed up in a saved email etc etc .

scenerio

My IPhone 8 Plus, I’ve had for the last 2.5 years, was stolen recently

while contacting apple support via our shared iPad, I have been unable to login to my Apple ID
    • in and after hours, it was going in circles and why not say from the START :
DO YOU HAVE YOUR RECOVERY KEY BEFORE I WASTE YOUR TIME AND MAKE YOU HATE APPLE!

Oh no matter, you have spent about 10k throughout your life on devices with us but ,,

and after sharing my fiancés for so long, wanted to nip it in the butt and get this worked out,

( NOTE: In previous years, within the last several, when I forget my PW and called APPLE for security help, and no recovery key in hand, but a passcode or pin, a few questions and password reset just like that! THIS TIME- I’m a criminal. I am not. All I am asking for is my Apple ID, and considering how much you have on a person per your privacy reports yes, …you could ask me anything and yet no. What changed ?

SORRY, HERE WAS MY EXPERIENCE,

forgot password, no biggie right?

Well, it was all odd.

Ended with a sorry but not sorry, here’s security’s line and then she kept calling me Ben (which is my fiancés name but she’s helping me,

So do you know what you’re doing Apple ?

long story short,

I have had my Apple ID (with same email) for years and years.

    • some time ago, I couldn’t login to my Apple ID or iCloud when setting up a device so my husband just signed it with his. When we got a new iPad, I wanted to finally sort out my Apple ID.
    • The lady kept asking me if I received the code to my phone number -

as in the phone I don’t have because it was stolen ? Nice lady, you knew this !!! !

    • as seen in photos, she kept asking me to do impossible things I kept doing and if she heard me, MY PHONE IS GONE! BUT I can answer any question. And what was she not telling me.
    • where does apple tell you, keep your recovery code safe, or else YOU WILL LOOSE IT ALL!
    • I have never experienced that before.

im sorry to rant, but before you get your hopes up, if you have ever sold your old apple devices, I believe this may hurt you with apple help, or not having a. Recovery key.

moral: karma hurts. I can go on about my personal thoughts but I took this time to yes rant but really because I was shocked to see APPLE SAY, OH JUST DO IT!

for Apple support reference For some security aspects I can provide you our case ID: *** there you will have all our chat, notes, information and interaction with our team

see photos I screenshot to show how I was being asked to give the code to the support lady when I said 2500 times I DONT HAVE THE PHONE,

but when I have my recovery key Ben (it was Sarah) do reach back out or make a new Apple ID, because who cares of all old stuff anyway right!

I want my Apple ID login. Have security contact me. Jk I know they won’t,

oh or call security support at 1-800-275-2273 if you NEED APPLE HELPM

BUT what if you have speech disability and that’s why you are messaging -

girl, best of luck out there,

sorry for rant, I never do that, but this reply caught me off guard.
