Stop “left behind” notifications when a device is just turned off?

I often fully turn off my iPad because the battery drains so quickly; however, now I get a notification that my iPad is lost every time I do so.

i know I can turn off the notifications but that isn’t really a solution. I wouldn’t mind notifications for a situation where the iPad is clearly elsewhere (turned on), but just being off does not justify a notification.

any way to change this?
