Hello, i want to change my nickname in this community support forums due to privacy issues. I contacted with apple support they said that i can delete my community support account seperately but i can not. It is linked to my acutal apple account. So this is just basic nickname and I want to change it. Can any host here help please. Thanks
I don’t think you can, when creating your username one of the things it says is that your name cannot be changed once created. Making a new account might be helpful but making too many accounts is something you should probably be cautious about.

I've called the hosts attention to your request. They are the only ones who can change it.
My guess would be that they want to keep the confusion out of it. If people could constantly change their names confusion about who is who might come up. For example, let’s say you had someone you had a conversation with a very long time ago and you just happened to remember them and wanted to talk to them again. If they would have changed their name it would have made it pretty hard to find that person again in my opinion.

I somehow created this community account with this nickname 7 years ago and i dont even remember it. This is just a stupid nickname like your twitch name that can be changable every 2 months. Why on earth a huge company like Apple does not allow us to change a silly forum nickname. I dont get it.
No it is not like that. You find that thread/post in forums since you have commented on it. Then click on the profile of that particular person who answered your questions. Even if they change names you can still find them through the messages, posts and threads etc. This feature is used even in stupid forum sites. We are talking about Apple here.
Well then maybe another problem associated with it is link directing. When someone changes their username on anything and you have the link, the link won’t redirect if the name is changed. Maybe that has been fixed or something recently but that’s another take. Also this discussion doesn’t really explain why but they talk about it too.

This is ridiculous that Apple of all tech companies, will not allow us to change our nickname on here. All other sites allow their users to change their nicknames every so often. And yes, if we want to talk to a particular person that we talked to in the past all we have to do is go to old messages or however it was we communicated get in contact once again.
So according to the poat you have shared, hosts can change it. Hope they hear me and change it.
