Good morning !
To my surprise my internet icon has disappeared . I shut the iMac laptop down and started her up . It is still missing . It remains on my phone but I need to use my laptop .
Any help would be deeply appreciated .

Thank you for posting in Apple Support Communities! Sounds like the Wi-Fi icon is not showing in the menu bar on your Mac so you are not able to select a network, is that right? Are you able to select one if you go to the Apple Menu > System Preferences > Network?
You may need to add the Wi-Fi icon back to your menu bar since it may have been accidental removed. You can do that by going to the Apple menu > System Preferences > Dock & Menu Bar. Check out: Show Wi-Fi status in the menu bar on Mac.

Not sure if it is your doing but two icons returned on my bar yesterday after contacting your support unit .I put one in the trash .
