iPhone 13 pro won't disconnect from car when done

My iPhone 13 pro is connected to my 2012 Nissan Altima and when I ask Siri a question, she comes through my speakers and answers, but then won't disconnect. My radio display reads "telephone" and nothing I do will make it hang up (the radio will not power off, I cannot switch to CD mode, cannot hang up from telephone button on steering wheel). The only thing that works is to turn off the car and restart it. I want to use Siri hands-free but need her to hang up when finished.

Previous iPhone 10Xr would work just fine with same car, but interestingly Siri would only talk to me through the phone and not car speaker, even though it was set up through bluetooth the same way new phone is set up. New phone Siri talks to me through car speaker.

Any ideas?
