iMac power cable replacement

I have a new (2021) Pink iMac. I have had it less than one year and while Apple fixed the power cord once I am not sure they will fix it again. The cat chewed it (twice now). The new 'snazzy' cord is like a shoelace in material and my cats think it is great fun to chew it (It is also very fragile and the first time I am not even sure the cats chewed it but that it just frayed). I don't mind buying a new one but even the Apple rep had to wait 2 weeks to order one the first time? Why don't they have these accessories for sale? I can buy a new cord for our older 2012 MacBook?? But not for this newer type of iMac? Anyone know a way to buy a back up cord?? Thanks!

We put cords of all types inside a piece of split plastic conduit like this, 1/4" I think. I favored feline dental work but my sweet wife said no.
