I lost my mobile how to recover

Hey i have lost my iphone, back then in my iphone find my iphone was ON but the person who has stolen has turn it off now i couldn’t see my device in FMI but it is still connected with my Apple id is there any way to connect my device again to “find my iPhone” from laptop or other device using my apple id or please suggest me a way to recover my mobile from a thief.. thanks
