My phone says “No SIM card”. What has happened?

Dirty SIM card contacts
SIM card in wrong way round
SIM contacts in phone damaged or corroded

Use the SIM tray tool to check card is in correctly (notch to notch in tray) and move the SIM out and in a dozen times
