Cannot Reset Security Questions

I have an old apple id, with which I am able to login on some parts of Apple (Store and Music). But when I try to manage that account I have to login again and get the message "We don’t have sufficient information to reset your security questions." when trying to reset my security questions which I don't remember.

I called Apple Support, but they said there is nothing that they can do. How is this possible, because just recently I was able to add my credit card for a trial Apple Music subscription which went fine, but now that I want to manage the account then there seems to be no possibility to do so.

Furthermore since this is an old account I am glad to create a new one, but then I want this account to be removed according to EU GDPR rules, so how can Apple assist me with this?

If you are being told there isn't enough information to reset them, contact Apple ID Support, although based on multiple posts I have read, they will not help you recover the answers to your security questions.

Thank you for your reply Eric. I already called Apple Support from my country, where they stated that there is nothing that can be done.

The account in question is in fact the same account I am using now on this forum, and I still have access to the email with which I created the Apple ID.

What is strange is that Apple does allow me to add payment options to the account after logging in to purchase anything from them, but then it doesn't seem possible to reset or delete the account.


I will call Apple Support again to request to delete the account in accordance with the EU GDPR laws as I have no need for that account anymore.
