Rename folders in iPhone notes

I’m trying to change the name of a folder in Notes. iOS 15. But the ones I want to change are GREYED OUT. Any clues why or how to get around this?

How to delete a folder under Yahoo in Notes? I have an empty folder under Yahoo in notes. I was able to delete the notes, but can’t delete or rename the folder. Help…how do I delete the folder. Change/edit Titled Notes is there a way to change the title of a note, NOT the folder it’s in but the note has just the date & I would like to edit or change that. I’m using an IPad & it’s up to date.

Try this -> Tap in the Folder you want to rename and the | ‘cursor’ appears.

You can now rename the folder.
